Remote Info Options

Remote Info Options tab is intended for setting of access rights for the remote clients to the information about print jobs. Access rights can be defined being based on a login name, user's group membership or on IP address of a computer from which request the information. Criteria of access are checked by the OR rule . If even one of criteria has coincided with defined, the user gets access to the information.

Enable remote info service - This switch allows or forbids the remote access to the information. If access to the information is allowed, the remote access service which provides authentication is started and provides clients with the information about print jobs.

Service Port - is a TCP port, on which a remote access service works. Number of this port should coincide with number of port in settings for the remote access client. You can check up number of port on availability using the "Test Port" button. If you have changed number of port for a remote access service do not forget to change it also in the remote access client. Number of port in these programs should be identical.

Allow access for selected only - This switch allows you to limit the rights for the remote access to the information. If this switch is switched on, access rights will be checked proceeding from the specified conditions. Otherwise access will be allowed for all users.

Users - list of users, able to access global and per user statistics.

Groups - list of a groups, able to access global and per user statistics.

Hosts by IP - list of IP's, able to access global and per user statistics.
