Print Logger Properties

print-logger-properties

Program Status - statuses: Stopped (the agent is unloaded from memory and the printing control is disabled), Running (the agent is loaded in the memory and the printing control is on).

Enable Processors/Cores load balancing - allows you to distribute the service work threads between all processors/cores, optimizing your system load.

Program Audit Mode: you can select one of the following modes:

· Program Active - means, that gathering the information about printing is on Print job is authorized in case quotas are not exceeded (if this option is used);
· Program Passive - means, that agent is switched off. From full stop this mode differs that the program is in memory and watches maintenance of a urgency of the configuration information (amount of printers, their names, etc.).

Program Up Time - an operating time of the program from the moment of its start by "Start" button or automatic start with the operational system (filled automatically).

System Up Time - an operating time of the Windows operating system.

The general statistics of work of the program is submitted by fields:

· Jobs Processed - amount of the processed jobs since time determined Quota Basis (day, week or month);
· Pages Processed - amount of the processed pages since time determined Quota Basis (day, week or month);
· Jobs Allowed - amount of jobs, which has been allowed since time determined Quota Basis (day, week or month);
· Jobs Blocked - amount of jobs, which has been cancelled since time determined Quota Basis (day, week or month);
· - amount of costs (in local currency), which has been spent on printing today;
· Costs spent, last 7 days - amount of costs (in local currency), which has been spent on printing for 7 days;
· Costs spent, current month - amount of costs (in local currency), which has been spent on printing for current month;
· Costs spent, current year - amount of costs (in local currency), which has been spent on printing for current year.

All listed fields are filled automatically.

Allow Host Restrictions - switches on or off the control over quotas for this print server. If the flag is set, the control of quotas, over an opposite case of a quota is made for the given computer are not used, but the information about print jobs continues to gather.

Host Quota defines: a quota of a computer in pages (Host Quota, Pages) per day, week or month (Quota Basis); amount of the spent quota in pages (Quota Used, Pages); amount of the remaining quota in pages (Quota remaining, Pages). Quota Basis is the period of time (day, week, month) during which operate the defined quotas. On the expiration of this period the current values of printing statistics (Quota UsedQuota remaining) become equal Host Quota.

NOTE: If you set zero value as quota/limit, the Print Logger will ignore this parameter while checking quotas/limits.

Job limit, pages - using this option you can set a print job limit for each print job for entire print server. This option limits number of pages for each print job on this print server. If you set some value for this option, all jobs with pages number lager then defined value will be blocked.

Reset quota for server - resets quotas for this print server to start values. Software also resets quotas automatically based on Quota Basis value.

Quota Basis - defines the time period for quotas. After this period "Quota used, ..." values will be reset to 0.

Example:

Quota Basis "DAY" is used on 1.01.2008 the following quotas have been defined:

Host Quota, Pages = 100

For last day the user has used:

Quota Used, Pages = 2

Quota remaining, Pages = 98

At start of the program on 2.01.2008 quotas of the user will be:

Host Quota, Pages = 100

= 0

Quota remaining, Pages = 100

In other words, counters of used quotas will be will be set to 0 every day (or month if it is chosen Quota Basis "MONTH").
