Host Restrictions - switches on or off the control over quotas
for this print server. If the flag is set, the control of quotas, over
an opposite case of a quota is made for the given computer are not used,
but the information about print jobs continues to gather.
Host Quota defines: a quota
of a computer in pages (Host Quota, Pages) per day, week
or month (Quota Basis); amount of the spent quota in
pages (Quota Used, Pages); amount of the remaining quota
in pages (Quota remaining, Pages). Quota Basis
is the period of time (day, week, month) during which operate
the defined quotas. On the expiration of this period the current values
of printing statistics (Quota Used) will be set to 0,
and values of the rests of quotas (Quota remaining) become
equal Host Quota.
Job limit,
pages - using this option you can set a print job limit for each
print job for entire print server. This option limits number of pages
for each print job on this print server. If you set some value for this
option, all jobs with pages number lager then defined value will be blocked.
Reset quota for server - resets
quotas for this print server to start values. Software also resets quotas
automatically based on Quota Basis value.
Quota Basis - defines the time
period for quotas. After this period "Quota used, ..." values
will be reset to 0.
Example:
Quota Basis "DAY" is used on 1.01.2007 the following
quotas have been defined:
Host Quota, Pages = 100
For last day the user has used:
Quota Used, Pages = 2
The user within the current day still can use:
Quota remaining, Pages = 98
At start of the program on 2.01.2007 quotas of the user will be:
Host Quota, Pages = 100
Quota Used, Pages = 0
Quota remaining, Pages = 100
In other words, counters of used quotas will be will be set to 0 every
day (or month if it is chosen Quota Basis "MONTH").
