HTTP Server Options

HTTP Server Options tab it is intended for management of the program's built-in web server. The web server allows you to look through reports according to use of printers from any browser and does not require the additional software. Also you can use an external web server if it is running on the same computer as Print Logger. In this case you should stop the built-in web server and change "Document Root" path to the external server documents location.

Enable HTTP service - This switch allows or forbids the access to the information. If access to the information is allowed, the HTTP service is started and provides clients with the information about print jobs via HTTP protocol.

Service Port - is a TCP port, on which a HTTP service works. Number of this port should coincide with number of port in settings for the client's browser. You can check up number of port on availability using the "Test Port" button. If you have changed number of port for a HTTP service do not forget to change it also in the client's browser. Number of port in these programs should be identical.

Document Root - specifies a place on your disk where reports on print jobs will be created. If you use an external server for reports, you should specify a path to the folder with documents for an external web-server. As an external web-server you can use any web-server working on the same computer.

Index File - name of an index file which will be displayed by default.

Allow access for selected only - You can limit the remote access to the information. If this switch is switched on, access rights will be checked proceeding from the specified conditions. Otherwise access will be allowed for all users.

Generate report for current month - the switch specifies, that creation of the report for the current month is required. It is a summary record in which the basic statistics is displayed.

Generate report for all time - the switch specifies, that creation of the report for all time for which there is a statistics is required. It is the expanded report in which the full statistics is displayed.
