How to use remote management console (Video)

Remote Management Console is  a very similar to Administrative Console, but allows to manage Print Logger software from the remote computer. Only members of Administrators (or Domain Admins) are allowed to manage Print Logger software remotely. Also you can permit remote management rights for one or more users by your choice.

NOTE: The registration is required for Remote Management Console. You do not need to purchase separate licenses for this software. Please use license key for the main Print Logger package you purchased. There is no limitations for number of Remote Management Console installations.

Remote Management Console package is not shipped with the Print Logger package. You can download it separately. See "How to download Optional Components".

You can install the "Remote Management Console" software on computer(s) using downloaded install package:

Double-click on selected file. You can automate the installation in your domain/workgroup. Please read "How to deploy Client Components" chapter.

You should select a folder where software files will be installed.

When installation process finished, you can start the Remote Management Console.

Fist of all, you should enter the print server name to manage.

NOTE: you should be a member of Administrators(if print server is not a member of domain) or Domain Admins group to manage Print Logger Remotely. Enter the print server name (where Print Logger is installed) and click "Connect" button.

If your current user account is has no administrative rights on a print server computer or not exist on print server(if print server is not a member of a domain), you will be asked for Administrator's username and password.

If with your permissions are correct, you will be asked for Print Logger remote management username and password. Please read here about remote management users and passwords.

At this point you successfully connected to the Print Logger software on a remote print server.

NOTE: not all tabs are visible in Remote Management Console. Some Print Logger options you can manage from local Administrative Console only.
