The program has the modular architecture and consists of several modules:
- the agent module. Provides the process of collection of the information from printers, maintenance of a urgency of the information about the printer's configuration in the system, job control on printing;
- the remote data module - provides remote access to the print jobs data based on security rules;
- an administrative console module (PLAdmin) - provides the process of the software configuration and definitions of quotas;
- HTML reports creator - provides ddata in HTML format;
- remote access and control module - provides access to the printing data.
If you want to use a quotas for printing, you should to know, that a base principle of job control is a quotas. The quota is amount of pages (or money units) in the print job, which amount can not be exceeded. In case of exceeding quotas the print job is removed from printing and the message on it can be shown to the user (depending on the selected mode). Software supports three types of quotas:
- the quota for the computer. Defines a top amount of pages (money units), which can be printed by any user of the given computer on any printer of this computer;
- the quota for the user. Defines a top amount of pages (money units), which can be printed by the given user on any printer of this computer;
- the quota for the printer. Defines a top amount of pages (money units), which can be printed on the given printer by any user.
